Testimonial – Nikhil Sachdev
Over the last 17 weeks, I have been going to the gym on a daily basis for both strength and cardio training. The first few weeks were tough, especially as my personal trainer worked with different exercise routines to identify areas of strength and weakness and develop programs accordingly. But soon I was hooked and I could feel myself able to do a lot more, and there was a desire to keep going.
However to be fit, there are two ends of the spectrum: one being exercise and the other is good nutrition. My trainer had a good look at what I was eating; re educated me about the food pyramid and the importance of incorporating a better balance then I had at the time. So as well as improving my body fitness through weekly Personal Training sessions, I also learned a lot about nutrition. For example I am trying to include 3 serves of vegetables and 2 fruits every day. Throughout my choice journey I have maintained a healthy eating plan, and not gone on any radical diets. I learned about high and low GI and sustained release and the difference between good and bad fats.
Personal Training has been a life changing and inspiring experience for me. It has provided me with both a physical and mental challenge and tested my ability and drive to achieve a goal. It is something that I will continue to do for the rest of my life. My lifestyle has changed for the better since starting out and it is something that has really helped my performance and confidence.
